Amir L. Bastawrous, MD

Michael D. McCoy

Mr. McCoy is the Chief Operating Officer for HeartSounds.  Michael possesses more than 10 years of experience developing and managing advanced technology products in a number of industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals and the life sciences.  Mr. McCoy received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001 and an MBA from the Chicago campus in 2008, with a focus on marketing and entrepreneurship.

Matthew W. Norris

Mr. Norris is Chief Executive Officer for HeartSounds. He received his B.S. in Mathematical Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he studied computer-based algorithms. Matthew has worked as a Business Systems Analyst for over 10 years and he also possesses operational experience in both the direct to consumer and business-to-business sectors.  He also owns and operates Norware Information Services, an IT consulting firm.  Matthew completed his MBA in 2009, with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship, at the Liautaud Graduate School of Business.

Roland Priemer, PhD

Dr. Priemer is an Associate Professor for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he invented the HeartSounds technology.  Roland (PhD, EE, Illinois Institute of Technology ’69) has over 30 years of experience in the field of computer engineering.  His research interests include optimal and adaptive digital signal processing, fuzzy logic, neural networks, and microprocessor-based applications.
